Hello, fellow Outposters!

First of all, thank-you to all who took the time to complete the survey regarding Online Gaming, the information collected will be a big help as we set up the Off-Post Gaming Team and get the ball rolling on events, etc.

Cards Against Humanity was a big favourite, so that is one avenue we shall be exploring. People also requested cheaper and/or free-to-play online games, or ones that don't require a high-end Gaming PC to enjoy. Again, this is something we'll look to incorporate, and I will personally look to compile a list of free-to-play or low-cost games that don't demand high specs from the PC.

As an initial suggestion, the following games will run on most modest set-ups, and they don't cost the Earth:

  • Garry's Mod ::: £6.99 ::: Includes a lot of multiplayer mods/games, such as Zombie Defence, Murder!, Trouble in Terrorist Town, Prop Hunt... etc, all of which are free to download from the GMod Workshop.
  • Left 4 Dead 2 ::: £14.99 ::: A very fun multiplayer zombie shoot-em-up, that is relatively inexpensive, and can run on more modest PC and Laptops. Highly moddable, there is potential for high-levels of hilarity!
  • Team Fortress 2 ::: Free-to-Play ::: A fun and addictive team-bases shoot-em-up, with a whacky and quirky style. Immensely popular, and, best of all - FREE!

I've personally played all of the above, and had a lot of fun doing so, and they are games I would recommend, and games that I believe could be a lot of fun to group-up and play with OTFers!

We shall revert back with further Gaming news in the future!

    Thank-you,

    Your friendly Shuttle Bay Co-Pilots:
